Elize from Huis Jabes: A Story of Hope

Share >>

At Huis Jabes we often see how women come from very difficult situations and begin rebuilding their lives again. Elize’s story is one of hope and healing. Elize came to Huis Jabes after going through a very painful and difficult relationship that eventually caused her to lose contact with her children.
As in many cases of manipulation and emotional control, these things often happen slowly over time. There are usually warning signs, but when someone is being manipulated, it becomes harder to recognise the danger. People who manipulate use different tactics to gain trust — even by building friendships with your children — which makes it easy to overlook the red flags.
Elize’s full and moving story can be read here.

At Huis Jabes in Cape Town she received the support and counselling that helped her get back on her feet.

Adri Klindt, founder of Huis Jabes, says she is very proud of Elize:
“She is now part of our management team and acts as a leader for other women going through difficult times. Her story is one of hope. God is using her to show His goodness to others.”

Elize’s advice to women who find themselves in similar situations:
“Find your voice. Somewhere there is someone who will hear you. Believe and trust fully in the Lord.”

Elize’s story reminds us that it is possible to come out of very hard circumstances and make a new start again.

Huis Jabes can offer this support thanks to people who care. If you would like to help more women and children, find a safe new beginning, consider supporting Huis Jabes.
